Dickson Wong, Osteopath MAppSc
osteopathic practitioner, MAppSc
Dickson Wong is a professionally trained Osteopath who studied at the University of Western Sydney in Australia. In 2006, after completing his Masters of Applied Science in Osteopathy, he returned to Canada, bringing with him this highly effective, holistic approach.
Dickson then acquired his bachelors at Simon Fraser University with a Major in Communications in 1997. This helped him to build a special kind of practice where education goes hand in hand with healing.
With every treatment, Dickson aims to educate and empower his patients, in order to gain a more holistic perspective about their body and the amazing, natural healing capacity it holds. He believes that as his patients realize how the body is connected from head to toe, they will gain greater control in decisions affecting their health.
Being a pioneer in his field, Dickson opened the first osteopathic clinic of its kind in Vancouver in February 2007. In April of that same year, he was nominated for the first inaugural Dr. Rogers Award for his significant contribution to complementary and alternative health care. Currently, Dickson is the Director of Public Information at the Society for the Promotion of Manual Practice Osteopathy in BC.
“You will never meet anyone more concerned about your health than you, so I will empower you with information and educate you on how holistic medicine can help you help yourself.”
